Matthew joined the 59 News team in October of 2009.
Born in Michigan, Matthew first got his start in journalism at his local high school television station.
From there, Matthew attended school at both Grand Valley State University and University of Michigan-Flint while working at his local television station WJRT-TV. Matt spent time working as a news assistant, photographer, and reporter.
Matt, along with his wife Kristina, picked up and moved south looking for new opportunities. That brought him to Beckley, where he’s thrilled to work in a community that.
Away from the newsroom, Matt enjoys watching movies, playing sports, and running.
