FAYETTEVILLE- -- City officials in West Virginia are looking to one of our local town's as an example of what works.
The town of Fayetteville is the setting for this three-day conference. It's hosted by the WVU Extension Service.
The goal is to give community leaders the tools and knowledge needed to revitalize their hometowns.
Leaders of the conference say one reason Fayetteville has a successful downtown is its proximity to the New River Gorge.
Workers with the WVU Extension Service say it's important for community's to find their niche.
During the conference - town officials are asked to come up with 10 qualities that make their area special.
Organizers of the conference say every town has potential.
They say what's important is finding the right way to unleash that potential.
The Power of Ten conference wraps up this week.
Several towns are participating from Fayetteville to Charles Town.
