ATHENS- -- Federal agencies, college students and community members are teaming up to mentor to people in the area who have disabilities.
The US Forestry Service hosted Disability Mentored Day at their office in Mercer County, Wednesday.
Students from Bluefield State College and Concord University teamed up with the participants to learn about job training and employment opportunities.
The participants also got a chance to shadow people in different career fields.
Disability Mentoring Day is sponsored nationally by the American Association of People with Disabilities.
