BEAVER- -- Deputies are also searching for the suspect in a hit-and-run in Raleigh County.

At about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, a suspect driving a blue or green Ford Explorer swerved off of Route 19 in Beaver.

The driver hit a pedestrian walking along the roadway, then fled the scene.

Investigators are in the process of obtaining surveillance video from neighboring businesses.

"If anyone saw this happen they can call us with a good description of the vehicle, hopefully a license plate number, something like that. said Sgt. Larry Lilly, Raleigh County Chief Detective.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

If the driver hit the victim intentionally, the suspect may face attempted murder charges.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 255-STOP.
