ATHENS --  Tuesday's rainy weather didn't slow down runners in Mercer County.

Several people hit the track at Concord University for the annual Roth Memorial 5K run.

The event supports the Roth Scholarship fund.

It's in honor of former professor, Dr. David Roth.

Roth was an English instructor at Concord University for nearly three decades.

The race was sponsored by the Concord Student Government Association.

All of the registration fees are donated to the Roth Scholarship Fund.
