Anstead --  A man is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a car in Fayette County. It happened at around 5:45 in Ansted Thursday evening. Police officers say 37-year-old Mark Willis of Victor was walking along Route 60, near the old Patton's Gas Station, when he was struck by an elderly driver. Willis was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center for treatment and is in stable condition. Officers say the driver stopped, went to get help and then returned to the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
