Firefighters Battle an Early Morning Structure Fire

Fire reported at a home in Pax.

PAX--- --  Firefighters from several departments battled a structure fire Tuesday morning. Fayette County emergency dispatchers say it was at a residence on Coal Street in Pax.

The blaze was reported just before 4 o'clock Tuesday morning. Dispatchers said the blaze was out by 6 o'clock, but crews with Pax and Bradley Fire Departments remained on scene putting out hot spots.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
