One person is in the hospital and another in custody after a shooting in Fayette County.

MONTGOMERY --- -- Investigators say a shooting happened at a home on Morris Drive in Montgomery around 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
The victim was 37year old Darrell Robert Crist of Fayette County. Investigators say he was shot twice in the upper chest and neck area. They say Crist drove himself to Montgomery General Hospital then was flown to a CAMC facility. He is currently listed in stable condition.
During the investigation 53 year old Daniel Virgil Pancake, Sr. of Handley in Kanawha County was identified as a suspect. Pancake was found in a wooded area on Morris Drive a short after the shooting.
Pancake is being held at the Southern Regional Jail. He is charged with attempted murder, malicious wounding, and eight counts of wanton endangerment.
