SOPHIA --  Sophia Police Officers need your help tracking down a man they said has a history of criminal activity.

Rusty Riley, 20, of Glen White, has been on the run for more than six months. Riley is facing domestic battery charges, police said.

Officers were called out to a home in the Sophia area on reports of a domestic dispute in April 2009. Riley allegedly beat up his former girlfriend then fled the scene, according to police.

He has been on the run ever since, police said. He is a white male with a medium build, brown hair and hazel eyes.

Meanwhile, tips called into Crimestoppers helped lead to the arrest of a fugitive who was featured in last week's fugitive file.

Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Jesse Redden, 38, of Danese on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

West Virginia parole officers were searching for Redden for parole violations after he was convicted of forgery with a credit card last year in Nicholas County.

Now, deputies said Jesse Redden is facing daytime burglary charges. He reportedly broke into a home on Glade Creek Road in the Danese area Wednesday morning.

Deputies said he stole prescription medication from the home.

Anyone with information on Riley's whereabouts should contact the Sophia Police Department, or you can call Crimestoppers at 255-STOP.
