Story by Kate Krivanek

FAIRLEA --  Over 400 churches are being represented at a religious rally in Greenbrier County.

Through Saturday, the West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Fairlea will play host to the annual West Virginia Baptist Convention.

Baptists from around the state are meeting to brainstorm future project ideas for the church community. Rev. David Carrico, executive minister of the the assembly, says they're coming together to find better ways to share their ministry.

"West Virginia has a lot of needs. And we do everything from feeding people to have camps and conferences to reach out to people in their various walks of life and their various needs," said Executive Minister, Rev. Dr. David Carrico.

Activities include workshops, worship, and bible study.

This year marks the 144th annual West Virginia Baptist Convention meeting.
