MONTCALM -- Mercer County Circuit Judge Omar Aboulhosn has been mentoring students at Montcalm School for a decade and now he is working to expand his efforts.
Aboulhosn presented a proposal to the Mercer County Board of Education Tuesday night. The program would be a collaborative effort between several groups including, "Generation Gap."
This group is comprised of young professionals in the community working to make a difference. Also on board is the Drop Out Prevention Committee, a group called "COFY" and Community Connections.
The program would be available at all Mercer County schools and would be geared for middle school students.
"We want to show them that you can be a successful young professional right here in Mercer County. If you work hard stay in school, stay off drugs, go to college," said Aboulhosn.
