BLUEFIELD, Va. -- A Virginia man was killed in a car accident that happened over the weekend.

Virginia State Troopers said Phillip Albert Wray, 41, of Castlewood, Va., died after being hit by a car Sunday evening.

The wreck happened around 6:30 p.m. near the Fast Break Market on Route 19 and 460 near Bluefield, Va.

Troopers said it appears Wray was leaving the market on foot when he walked in front of the vehicle.

The accident is under investigation.

No charges have been filed.
