DANIELS -- They met at the Tamarack in Beckley, but they do some of there best business in Daniels. A group of local artists are branching out to find new clients, and that involves putting on their own local art shows.
Saturday, that meant hosting a show in the home of Diana Pittis. She’s a local potter, and she’s found that by working from home she can find a new type of client.
Several artists have joined her, and they now rotate whose home they hold these weekend art shows.
Nancy O’Farrell, who also makes pottery in addition to jewelry, says it’s important to rub shoulders with your fellow artists.
“We need each others support, and we inspire each other,” said O’Farrell.
The group hopes to continue opening their homes for future shows in the coming months.
