BLUEFIELD -- The Craft Memorial Library in Bluefield is hosting the Food for Fines program. Organizers are collecting food for Mercer County food pantries through a fine exchange program.
Anyone who has fees for past due library books can bring in a non-perishable or canned food item to wipe out their debt. Each food item will count for one overdue item listed in your account.
The drive will continue through the month end of November. All of the food collected will be given to Bluefield area food banks.
