Burning Rock in Sophia will let veterans ride the trails at no charge this weekend.

Story by Kate Krivanek

SOPHIA --  Burning Rock ATV Club and the Citizens' Conservation Corps of West Virginia are paying tribute to those who have served our country this weekend by offering free rides at Burning Rock Off Road Park. The park will be open to active and retired soldiers, as well as veterans and their families, from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"There's so many veterans that came back that did not get a thank you or a salute. And that's what we're doing for them. It's a way Burning Rock ATV Club can say thank you to the veterans and the active military right now," said Jerry Green, Burning Rock trail boss.

Veterans who come out to ride at the park will also be treated to lunch.
