Veterans walked down Mercer Street.
Story by Alicia Suka
PRINCETON -- Mercer County hosted its traditional Veterans Day parade down Mercer Street in Princeton.
This is the 20th year for the event that features local veterans, civic groups and marching bands.
Mother nature was less than cooperative, but crowds took on the elements to recognize the vets.
The Marine Corps League led the parade while emergency vehicles and a few horses wrapped up the event.
Kids are out of school in Mercer County, so they were busy collecting candy.
One of the grand marshals was Ernestine Thurmond, who served in the Army Nurses Corps for 10 years in the 1960s.
