McDowell Co. Teen Killed in Morning Accident

State troopers say two vehicles hit head-on.

MAYBEURY --  A McDowell County teenager died in a head-on collision Monday morning.

State Police confirm Joseph Pack, Junior, 19, of Davy was killed after an accident in Maybeury.

Troopers say it happened just before 10 a.m.on Route 52.

The road was closed for about an hour.

Brenda Goodson, 39, of Welch was seriously injured in the wreck.

She was flown to a Charleston hospital for treatment.

Troopers say Pack crossed the center line and hit Goodson's vehicle head-on.

No other vehicles were involved.
