BECKLEY -- A bank account has been set up at any City National Bank in Beckley for the family of Mountain State University basketball player Alvin Mitchell.

Mitchell, a transfer from Cincinnati, was shot several times in the early morning hours of Dec. 3.

The junior from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., was in the hospital Thursday evening and listed in serious but stable condition.

Anyone wishing to make contributions can go to any City National Bank in Beckley.
