GHENT --  A Ghent ski shop is teaming up with a Snowshoe Ski resort to help put you on the slopes for a fraction of the normal cost.

On Wednesday, the Ski Shop announced that it will begin selling discounted Snowshoe lift tickets. The lift tickets will be good at the Snowshoe Basin with 40 slopes and trails, the Western Territory with two 1.5 mile expert slopes and Silver Creek with 18 slopes and trails.

"It's a $33 a day savings for those folks who want to go over to Snowshoe instead of spending the day here. Something a little bit different," said David Denault, Ski Shop media director.

The discounted lift tickets will sell for $70 a day. The Ski Shop is including free ski rental with each lift ticket.

Tickets can be purchased in advance and are good for any day during the 2009-2010 season.
