GHENT --  It’s been three days since the big snowfall hit southern West Virginia, but cars are still littering roadways across the region.

Tow trucks have been towing vehicles off the Interstate. Although they still seem to be everywhere you look.

Raleigh County businesses have seen dozens of cars left on lots throughout the weekend as well. Now they’re beginning to tow those cars off their lots.

Beverly Farrish, a worker at Little General in Ghent, said that her stores are in the process of moving those cars.

“I understand side roads are bad, but people need to get their cars especially if they’re local people who’ve just let them here,” said Farrish.

On Monday local towing companies began taking those cars, at the owner’s expense. According to workers, some of the cars were even blocking fuel and food deliveries from occurring.
