FAIRLEA -- Roger Lockridge, 28, of Lewisburg has been body building for nearly a decade. "I started at 125 pounds," said Lockridge. "I worked until I gained up to 260 pounds."
Through the 10 years of hard work, Lockridge found himself in a depression. "I was in an accident, suffered an injury and lost my job," said Lockridge. "I didn't want to go out of the house." Lockridge said the depression was tough, but he managed to weigh out the burdens and get his life back on track.
"I realized my dream of becoming a body builder was far fetched so I decided to find another outlet," said Lockridge. "I started writing an online blog about body building." That blog earned him a position as an online writer for "Body Building.com"
Since then, Lockridge has dedicated more time in the gym getting back in shape, as well as writing about his progress. He was recently named as Body Building.com's 2009 Male Writer of the Year.
"I just want people to realize, it is possible," said Lockridge. "I truly believe that if you put your mind to it and get in the right mind set you can make anything happen."
